    An illegal campsite is growing, in terms of number of campers and size of each campsite, right at the lake's edge. If you're walking by on the sidewalk, the high brush hides a significant portion of the largest one. If you don't stop these at the onset, they only grow larger.

    Someone has placed a "detour" sign on the sidewalk in Peralta Park. This is likely to discourage people from cycling or walking further down where campers have taken over the park, including the kids playground and structures (not viewable in this photo).

    Campers have taken over the children's playground and structure in Peralta Park, (east end of the estuary cornered by the Kaiser Convention Center and 10th Street). This makes it totally unusable. Also note 3-4 additional campsites in the background.

    [This can also be filed under Park Maintenance or Illegal Dumping.] We now have three homeless encampments (with lakefront views I might add), in plain site across the street from the County Courthouse (kinda ironic). The green/blue one in the left is clearly blocking the sidewalk, the gray/red one in the middle is nestled in the bushes, and the light green one on the right is nicely shaded by a tree at the edge of the lake. What can be done about these and the people that occupy them. They will not disappear by themselves, and the longer they are there only invites more of the same. I imagine these conditions will only increase with time, especially as the weather gets warmer.
