Pictures will be taken of the violation and notices will be sent to property owner (thirty business days).
Property owners will have a specified time (twenty business days) to comply with the violation notice. Once the compliance period is over, a re-inspection of the property will occur (ten business days).
If owner complies with the notice (cleans the vacant lot), no work will be performed by the City and the case will be closed.
If the owner does not comply, a City Crew will be assigned to clean the property (thirty business days) and the property owner will be billed for all cost associated with the clean up.
This process may take up to 90 days from the initial request to the date of the clean up, possibly longer in the summer months.
After the timeframe of your request has passed, you can check the status of your ticket by calling 311 Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. Just give us the ticket number and we can check it for you. You can also go online to www.phila.gov/philly311 and track your request. Thank you. (mb)
