Description

Drivers rarely yield to pedestrians on this busy street. Crossing guard is there 7:20-7:50AM and 2:00-2:15PM Monday through Friday only. Nathan Hale School is impossible to cross and access when drivers ignore 25MPH speed limit, and routinely drive 40-65 MPH.

I agree that a sign might help but having an officer for just that short time would help. If they can protect workers on the street than our children should require their time.

A week ago a yield to pedestrian sign was put at this location. Thank you, it only took 4 years to accomplish.

Thanks for the sign. I've been asking and waiting since 2005, so I guess it was all worth it. I think we were the only school in the city NOT to have one. And the crossing guard is still necessary. Plus I'd like to see police presence (and ticketing) for all those driving 40-65MPH in a clearly-marked 25MPH zone. I think all the kids, parents, and grandparents would, too!
