The tree on the tree lawn at the end of the driveway of 250 Livingston Street is suffering from what appears to be Ganoderma root rot (see attached photo of fungal fruiting bodies at the base of the tree).

The tree has been periodically dropping branches into the road, but of greater concern is the potential for wind throw, as the root system is likely no longer intact due to infection.

Many pedestrians and vehicles pass under this tree daily, and the tree leans out over the road. Please inspect and evaluate for removal. Thank you.

This branch came down on the street today blocking half of Livingston Street. It nearly missed seriously injuring or killing someone. (The NHPD was kind enough to contact the appropriate party for removal) Would the Parks Department please come address the issue with this tree? This year there is a fresh batch of fungus at the base, indicating that more fallen branches and/or a fallen tree are to come.

You will see in the attached photo that a huge branch has fallen into the road, blocking half of Livingston Street. (NHPD already contacted someone for cleanup) Will the city kindly address the issue of this tree before someone is seriously hurt?
