I would suggest addition of traffic light to ease and manage traffic at intersection of Line Lexington Road and Cowpath Road. Very helful and SAFE for drivers making left turn from Line Lexington Road onto Cowpath Road during rush hour.
Sure just what we need, another traffic light. If it weren't for all you impatient people who don't know how to pull out safely into traffic there wouldn't be as much traffic because we wouldn't need a traffic light at every side road in the County. There are too many traffic lights and it needs to stop.
Just use common sense & stop trying to make left hand turns during rush hour. People are just trying to get through Hatfield to get home. Once you get out of Hatfield, the traffic is fine. It is only that town! Whether it's 309 or Cowpath! Like the light at Vine st. (at Cowpath). One car on Vine will trigger that light causing a massive backup that can extend to past Orvilla! Enough already! I was sitting for 15 minutes on Copath and watched that light change for two cars! Two! While at least 50 were hung up going each way on Cowpath! If the light can't be changed than Hatfields finest need to be directing traffic, instead of sitting at their speed traps(which cars can't speed because they are sitting in traffic!!!!!).
Every time I see someone wanting another traffic light, I can't see how they can justify it. This intersection I would agree would benefit from a traffic light. The traffic is already so backed up, I don't see the additional light causing more problems, especially if the lights were connected to change at the same time. Many people get so tired of waiting, they pull out when it isn't safe.
It only happens at rush hour. People need to use a little common sense. Any other time of day, there is no problem. Just rush hour. there are only three main arteries running through Hatfield, Cowpath/309/Allentown Rd.. The idea should be to ease traffic south in the morning and north in the afternoon. Most of the problem stems from people trying to take shortcuts (read all the complaints from people about speeding cars through their neighborhoods). These shortcuts are the ones trying to make left hand turns. The higher powers to be at Hatfield and Hatfields finest need to monitor traffic, adjust traffic lights and have a study done on traffic easement!
