Hi there, you don't know me but I am a neighbor of yours, I would like to say that we love this neighborhood and that is one of the reasons we bought here. But there is something bothering us it's your dog. A lot of people in and around you work shift work and have young families and it is really hard to enjoy an nice evening or a well deserved day off out on the deck or in the yard, and we know lately nice evenings are hard to come by, with all the barking. I understand that dogs bark but it is becoming quite irritating, especially when there are multiple other dogs in the neighborhood that are very content being quiet. All I am asking for is that you maybe bring it inside or at the very least ask it to be quiet when it is barking for long periods of time. I would like to say that I appreciate that I don't hear it after 10 or 11 pm.
Please do not find this offensive I appreciate you taking the time to read it.

As a dog owner, I ask that you please, please, please talk to them in person before contacting any authorities! Posting on a public forum just to circumvent the confrontation is a small bit rude, especially when the odds of them actually reading this are slim.

Talk to the dog owner first. Then if you are not happy with the results call the city.

We had the same problem, a dog that barked nonstop, every second or two, from about 10:pm until late in the am. We tried talking to our neighbour, and for our courtesy received a drunken profanity laced tirade. After that, we simply phone bylaw or the police and ask them to enforce the noise bylaw. That seems to work better.

I recently moved into a new neighbourhood and after 6 days I got an anonymous letter in my door saying my dogs bark all day. The note demanded for me to keep my dogs in the house all day. I talked to two neighbours who both say they don't bark excessively and if they do, they are being harassed. Now 2 weeks later I have a bylaws card on my door knob saying they were reported as barking. Is it fair for me to bend to the will of someone I have never met? To not even have a chance to see if the problem was getting better/worse? If the person who has an issue is reading this, please come over, my name is Aaron.

If the dog wakes you up, phone them , they might as well be up too...or have the police drop by, they are up all night.Stinkin barking dogs. How come you can hear it but they can't and its in their own back yard.

I am on McKnight as well and have not noticed this either could you maybe specify is it on the east or west side of the cul de sac? Our pets are indoors 99% of the day so I'm praying it isn't them

If we could have less people wandering and driving around all night, maybe there would be less barking. If my dog barks, it is always for good reason, one for someone trying to break into neighbors garage, another time two were trying to break into my car on the street. I also correct his barking after investigating the reason for it's barking. My neighbors have never complained, and these incidences happened about 3:00 in the morning. Another time when someone busted my husband's windshield, but I did not get up in time to get their license number. I would like to see a curfew in force and there is not need for them to be out there but for no good but vandalizing other peoples hard worked for property.

McKnight drive and Bauer bay is full of police officers 2 of the households that have dogs are police that is why I find this strange there are also police with dogs on Bauer bay backing those houses

How about if you are awake you call the owner and wake him up and tell him his dog is disturbing you.. If you are up he might as well be too...or get the police to stop by and tell him to get the dog in.They are up all night, and its their job to prevent disturbances.....
