Description
This intersection is always backed up, especially heading east towards Rt72, in the morning, and heading west into Forestville, in the evening. Could we have a light, instead? Maybe it could be set on a timer, so it reverts to a blinking red during the off-hours.

I live right in there, & I know what you mean about people thinking it's a highway. But it takes longer for me to head over to the new 72.
But regardless, there's already a bunch of traffic on this road every day. I think it would flow much better with a regular light. Maybe then people wouldn't be in such a rush.

I had an idea, not sure if its worth it, but what if a road was run from that intersection down to East Main st.? Would that decrease traffic on Washington st.? Would it increase traffic?
Route 72 through the East Bristol area needs to be more like route 72 through the center of Forestville. That was supposed to be a highway, not a commercial street. Those.. people (to put it respectfully) saying "Bristol has a highway now", should study a map or keep quiet.
I guess I don't really have a problem with the current amount of traffic, but more so those few speeders and the idiots who think everyone within half a mile needs to hear what they're listening to. Driving on West Washington st. after Hubbell school doing around 35-40 mph is one thing, but Washington st., being just about in the center of Forestville, the road being on average narrower and a little more curvy and on average, the area being a little more developed, drivers shouldn't be doing more than 35 mph, during the day, with good weather.
If anyone has a problem with that, its their problem. I give free brake jobs. :)
