Deskripsyon
garbage truck parked across the street from romeo & cesares blocking not only the bus stop (no standing anytime) but the bike lane, and the view of pedestrians trying to cross at this crosswalk.
(and, it is empty, but the engine is running while they eat breakfast across the street.)
sure, it must be a tough job, and they deserve to sit back and relax with some breakfast. but, there has to be a better way for them to park while they do it.
in my short trip to romeos i saw a cyclist narrowly missed by cars passing each other in the diminished road space, and a mom and baby carriage almost hit because of the way that this truck is parked at the crosswalk.

It would be nice to see city vehicles play by the same rules the rest of us must abide by.
I have routinely seen (and reported) a Board of Ed and a Parks department car parking on sidewalks and in front of fire hydrants in East Rock, but never been contacted or had any follow-up from the city on what they are doing to curb abuse of power.
I understand that they view it as a minor issue and one that doesn't merit public feedback, but I can't appreciate that point of view--if we have laws against parking in certain places, it seems bizarre that those laws apply unevenly.
