Description
Saturday, July 1st made it 2 months that this street light was knocked down by a drunk/reckless driver.
The materials must be hard to get or still on the ship out in the sea because the street light has not been replaced/installed, wow, what great service the City of Albany is giving.
And kids still play in this area all day and has become a hang out at night since it is very dark with the street light off at 28 Jennings Drive.
I see many activities go on in this area that would not happen or stop if there was light!

LOL, I do not put much stock into your comment and will believe it when I SEE it!
I know the power is off, but curious minds want to explore, this afternoon, I saw kids playing with the exposed wires from where the street light was.
Sadly, the parents were outside watching them and did not say a thing, SMDH
Also, over the weekend around 9:30 pm, a little girl was playing with her ball near her home and it rolled across the street, she was going to get it, not sure where the parents were.
Luckily, the driver saw her and stopped in time before she got hit since this area is so DARK with 1 light off (in front of 28 Jennings Drive) and the other not installed yet!
This is a lawsuit waiting to happen!

Good Monday Morning Streetlights 4,
Tuesday, August 1st, made it 3 months that the street light pole still has not been replaced!
What a shame and this where my tax dollars go, Nowhere, a simple street light cannot be replaced within a reasonable time frame!
I guess the equipment and parts must be still on those cargo barges out in the sea.
It is a shame this missing street light on Jennings Drive and North 2nd has to be on the Albany Housing Authority property because if it was on upper Shaker Road (Loudonville) or Latham, a crew would have been at the scene the very next day or within the week to replace it.
That is Ok Streetlight 4, you don't have to care about our community or the residents who sit outside in the dark or the kids who play in the dark or cars that drive very slow so that no one or animal gets hit!
