The appropriate officials have been notified about this issue. It might be helpful to the city if others supported this issue and helped to notify public works.
Erin -- Do you realize how many potholes have been flagged in this vicinity? There are SO MANY within a couple of blocks of each other that it would take hours to flag them all! Shame on you for not seeing that. Typical useless gov't. Look at how many times this has been viewed!
Why dont you drive on Ravenna between 65th and 15th Ave and let me know why this is still active? The road is horrible and there are still potholes. Clearly you have not driven on the road.
Per Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT): CSB and Mayor Staffs:
There are multiple pothole reports for this area (2 recent ones
are workorders 53842 and 52879). You can view reports and status on the
pothole map at http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/potholes/.
This stretch of NE Ravenna Blvd is scheduled for repaving in 2013.
If those potholes are fixed, per your map, someone needs a new pair of glasses. The Mayor said that there would be a 7 day turnaround on fixing the potholes. Stop telling me about a repaving in 2013. My car will be trashed by then. Do your job, honor the turnaround promise and fix the potholes. Use my tax dollars wisely for a change.
This street is an embarrasment to the city. It needs to be repaved long before 2013! Put the mayor on his Schwinn and ride it up one side of Ravenna and then down the other...I bet the repaving would begin within the week!
You all might wanna try actually contacting the City rather than some random website if you want your needs met. Or should the City just search the web looking for random complaints? Now that would be a waste. The proper number to report potholes is (206) 684-1218
Just to be sure I just called the number and asked if they ever refer request for potholes and paving here or anywhere else. They said No. The number and site are correct. Check for yourself if need be. But it is important that people are directed to the right places to get the right services. It is unfortunate that you spoke with someone who was mis-informed.
Seattle DOT - When will this be fixed? When can I drive my beloved route again? Job #1 for City government is to provide and maintain the infrastructure for transportation. How about doing Job #1?
