Deskripsyon

When traffic backs up on Chi Ave from Meetinghouse Rd up to and past I-95, traffic routes through "the bypass". The posted 15MPH speed limit (and stop signs) are ignored along Beeson and Redwood Aves. Very aggressive driving in both directions, leaving neighborhood children at risk. Police presence, especially on Thursdays and Fridays, would decrease this very dangerous situation. Nice clock at Chi Ave & Meetinghouse Rd; but green arrow turning signal would have alleviated this problem.

OOPS!!! Seems posting here just made more drivers aware of the bypass and its benefits ... no speed limit, display-only stop signs, and no waiting on Chi Ave. Sorry, neighbors...

Agreed! A left turn light would be an excellent way to help at that interesection.

RUMORED that Beeson Ave will become one-way in April...that should end the bypass issue. We'll see if it happens

Upper Chichester Police do ZERO traffic enforcement work. Moved to the area 10 years ago and have seen them maybe stop a few cars for turning left out of Produce Junction. Any thing other than that, forget about it. Also don't complain to the commissioners because its in one ear and out the other before you get done taking.

Thanks to local resident Gary Friday, it appears Beeson will become a one-way in the very near future. That will end the immediate safety problem. Maybe if our commissioner actually lived here (and not in Twin Oaks) action would have been taken sooner. Again, thank you for all of YOUR time & effort, Gary.

Allrighty now...signs went up yesterday...two large DO NOT ENTER signs. All that's needed now is a bit of enforcement; and I can close the issue. Apparently, drivers making the turn are concentrating on oncoming traffic (failing to notice "the bypass" is now closed).

Once again, thanks to resident hero Gary Friday for his time and effort...
