Deskripsyon

A wood "bridge" was installed over the sidewalk awhile back for what I am assuming is temp utilities for the construction site. I have seen this area become a challenge for people with all the pedestrian traffic in the area. Today there was a gentleman who tried to go over it with his wheel chair but could not make it over it. The sidewalks have been removed across the street and he had nowhere to go but in the street. Can something be done with this?

I will check with our Construction Inspections Division. When they've had a chance to look into this I will post an update.

I know exactly where this is. I walk there, too, and it is impassable for practically everyone! BUT for sure, for wheel chairs, strollers, and old people (like me!)

There is a gentleman in a wheelchair that lives on Stafford and has to use this sidewalk.
Another SCF ticket was created because this man literally has to go down the street because there is no sidewalk on Stafford Avenue either. SHAMEFUL for a city this size not to be pedestrian friendly, and to allow stupid situations like this to occur which further restrict those who need it these sidewalks the most.

Somebody dropped the ball on this whole area with all the construction. That picture is a disgrace. I hope it becomes viral. The nation should see how we treat our citizens who need a little extra assistance

An ispector went to the site on Tuesday and walked the whole perimeter with the superintendent and pointed areas that need to be fixed immediately. They are going to also get more signage out there directing pedestrians where to go. The inspector will follow-up on this issue.
