Hi, a 'pothole' categorization likely would have generated a faster response here, and a voice call to DPW two weeks ago probably would have been the best strategy. Today I was told that this trench was part of utility work by the city's water department and it has been scheduled for paving by the city's patch contractor.
It's difficult for me to understand how cycling advocates could possibly criticize the city's past, and especially current, efforts towards their safety.
