The concerts and events at DeGale field are out of control noise wise this summer. We live more than 5 blocks away and it's as if these events are being held in our backyard. They also seem to happen every weekend. I don't know if they are impromptu or permitted.

Right now there is an extremely loud praise session going on which makes it completely impossible for our family to enjoy a quiet Sunday morning in the backyard. There was also a concert going on yesterday.

I don't want to stop the community from holding these events but the volume and the frequency needs to be reduced.

I could not agree more. We live near the Boulevard and between DeGale Field, the Holy Rollers on Whalley and the open window rap from every other car that stops at the light- its a constant cacophony. It will be a beautiful day and I will be forced to sit inside so I can hear myself think or read something.

Why do superstitious people always seem to have the need to loudly and publicly proclaim their ignorance and get really inconsiderate about forcing their nonsense on people who would rather not hear it. Hello, you're in Connecticut, in a town that is all about education, not in the backwoods of the deep South.

It sounds like they are planning to start up again today, I keep hearing mic checks... This has to stop, it's sad that we have to leave New Haven every weekend to get a little quiet.

It looks like they have their own speakers, etc so my guess is that there was no permit. I plan to call the NH police non emergency line once try get started. I suggest you do the same.
