if i am correct, i believe that Nordale and Hazeldell are inside city limits. . . i have lived in the area for quite some time and was wondering why we do not have a dial-a-bus service for these areas. it would be alot more cost effective for our seniors in the area to not have to call a cab to get to walmart or the mall. this would also be helpful to the many children who live in this area and are going to school across the bridge. . . ive done my fair share of walking across both bridges as i was growing up.

Seniors can, and do use the Kinsmen seniors transportation. Kids who go to school in the city likely take the SCHOOL BUS and a bus route would be ineffective because of the lack people on that side, and the absence of paving and the round about way the bus would have to go in order to get back in the city.
Bus route expansion also requires tax dollars (read increase), (which is why the roads there are still unpaved) Also, with the current bus company being a private contracted transporter, they would have to see some profit in an expansion across the bridge. (ie: a full bus for at least half of the scheduled trips.)
Nobody's going to send out a bus just because YOU phone for one...hence cab services.

Dial-A-Bus is a great idea.
