hello on the site vally street the city has with couple of week mowed down japanense knotweed vegetation along vally street inbankment reach in 6-8' thankyou for that.. i went in cut the rest of j knotweed they could not get not safe traffic wise to work but on the other hand the mowing down uncovered all the debris bottles cans plastics trash thick with it .. needs a crew to rake it all out .. again high traffice blind spot from stairs to blake street imbankment just lot trash with all the effort clean up river memorial needs proffessional

More than 100 years later, on July 5, 1779, the British attacked New Haven at Westville. During that battle three members of the Hotchkiss family were killed. The British, who probably came across Forest Road, had landed in West Haven. They were turned back where Edgewood Park is now located. An old cannon marks the site of this historic battle....
this old cannon referenced was located at Westville whalley ave about 150 ft above the edgwood park whalley av entrance adjacent to edgewood park 30-40 years ago i know of it as growing up there but one day disappeared ?/ whould you have maybe insight who would had the authority move it to i have no idea were it could be.. but do realize historical value a original cannon..can use some help trying to relocate it thankyou paul valanzuolo
