For that past 5 weeks straight, we have had to call the police on the new owners of 50 Bouve Ave, who simply refuse to play their music during their constant parties at a level that does not shake our windows on the entire street. Neighbors have tried to speak with them and reasonably asked them to turn their music down to a more realistic and less invasive volume, to which the response from the people living there was "you just don't like our type of music and can F off" After reviewing the code of ordinances, we feel they are contributing to negatively affecting our way of life and health, as we cannot get proper sleep while they refuse to lower their music to a reasonable level. Many of us work long hours or have babies who are trying to sleep, all of which has been impossible since these inconsiderate neighbors refuse to just listen to their music at a reasonable volume. The weekend of July 6th they had a 2 day party with the music going well-beyond 12 hours each day. This problem needs to be addressed. Our city councilor is also going to be contacted regarding this. Our lives should not have to revolve around one neighbor who is too inconsiderate to acknowledge that most of us have jobs and work, and have a right to enjoy peace and quiet in our own homes.
