Please install a 4-way stop ASAP at Genoa/55th. This is an intersection of two very popular bikeways, including the Genoa Street bike boulevard which is supposed to be family friendly, but the lack of a stop for 55th makes it very difficult to cross at busy times of day.

Today I watched a bike rider dismount her bike and try to walk across in the marked crosswalk, pushing her bike and a child trailer attached, but car drivers didn’t only fail to yield, but one driver actually honked at her as they sped by, followed by several others.

This is both unsafe as well as unwelcoming, and these dangers discourage many people from trying to bike in the neighborhood at all.

A four way stop here has been requested by various community members over many years. Please follow up on this request quickly to avoid continued conflicts and danger.
