Unfortunately, in my experience anyway, when an issue gets recategorized it is usually DOA. The City has "responded" and that's that. Maybe repost as a Parks Request?

I think you need to call the Parks dept. and contact your alder. When something gets recatorgized it usually falls into a black whole, never to be heard from again. The squeaky wheel gets the most oil. If the people you contact do not help you, you need to vote them out of office, because they are not doing their jobs. SCF is a very useful tool, but it is not perfect. One sometimes has to directly interact with the powers that be, to get the ball rolling.

Since this SCF ticket was recategorized as a "Parks Request," let's ask the head of Parks, Recreation, and Trees directly. Becky Bombero, what are you currently doing to address the worsening problem of rampant littering and illegal dumping in our parks and public spaces? Take a walk up Farnam Drive from Orange Street to the summit road entrance and you will see a piece of trash - littered or dumped - nearly every foot the entire way!

Per @Angelika's fine suggestion, I also encourage anyone who cares about our trashed public spaces to contact Mayor Harp at (203) 946-8200 (phone number per the City of New Haven's website) and let her know that the status quo is unacceptable. (Let Mayor Harp know that she should be doing so much more, and that her administration blew an opportunity after bringing together concerned citizens on this very issue a couple of years ago.)
