Deskripsyon
I was greeted with a bunch of orange cones placed on the narrow paved shoulder (which functions as the defacto bike lane for many bicyclists) along east-bound M-43 near Van Atta Rd. this evening. These are forcing bicyclists to swerve out into the motor vehicle travel lane where vehicles are traveling 55 mph or generally much more. Very unsafe. They should be moved off the paved portion of the roadway when nothing is happening as my photos show.

Rec'd this response from MDOT yesterday:
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Meridian Township is doing water main work out there, so we forwarded your email to them to address this.
The cones were moved off the paved shoulder onto the gravel yesterday evening.
Thanks MDOT/ Mer. Twp. staff.
