I just rode my bike from the west end at Okemos Road and the first 500 feet or so is in deplorable condition all the way through the intersection onto Okemos Road. Would be nice if the whole thing end to end were to get thoroughly repaired to make it safe and respectable. It is the heart of our township after all.

This construction season Central Park is finally going to get major repairs end to end and converted to 5 lanes from the current 4 lanes of travel. It's going to have 3 motor vehicle lanes (1 center turn lane) and bike lanes (aka "paved shoulders") which will be getting signed and marked as bike lanes along with other defacto bike lanes in the Township per a report by Derek Perry, Twp. Director of Public Works, at the April 2019 Transportation Commission meeting which was also a public hearing for the Central Park reconstruction held by the ICRD.

Bumped another year along with other major resurfacing projects in the Twp.

-Hot Mix Asphalt surfacing and pavement markings
-In this project ICRD specifies Polymer Coated Rubber (PCR) in a portion of the Hot Mix Asphalt.
-Due to the Rieth-Riley Labor dispute and the seasonal limitations for this HMA mix the project will shift to spring 2020.

Newman Road from Marsh Road to Central Park Drive
-Hot Mix Asphalt surfacing and pavement markings
-Due to the Rieth-Riley Labor dispute and the seasonal limitations for this HMA mix the project will shift to spring 2020.

Lake Lansing Road from Hagadorn Road to Saginaw Street
-Hagadorn Road from Lake Lansing Road to Birch Row Drive
-Hot Mix Asphalt surfacing with spot concrete curb replacements and pavement markings.
-The traffic signals at Hagadorn Road and Park Lake Road will be replaced.
-The Project includes the addition of right turn lanes at Hagadorn Road (turning south), and at Park Lake Road (turning south).
-The Contractor is currently working on the two Traffic Signal installations.
-In the Spring of 2020 the Contractor will resume work on the road items.
-The project will be completed mid-summer 2020.
