This has been a constant on Henry.. I remember when the old Mayor Gallo would parade his police van on the corner of Henry and Prospect and make news conferences.. The dealers would leave and as soon as the show was over the dealers were on the corners with in minutes.. It is a big joke in Kingston. i have lived with in these streets since 1993.. Henry gets better then it goes right back to the same old business as usual.. The many neighborhood watches I belonged to did not stop crime and they soon enough faded away.. Maybe Mike and his crew will make a difference or maybe not but Henry will always be unless the cops get tough on crime and help out the decent residence who want to live in a good neighborhood..

Just a thought, is there a way to contact the landlords of said residence? Perhaps they are unknowingly renting to addicts and dealers and would rather rent to tenants that want the area to be uplifted. As a home owner, I wouldn't want the value of my home going down because of drugs next door or in this case, within. How would one go about doing that?

Lived there on sterling street myself for many years and could see all the drug dealing taking place at 90 henry street, cops would not do anything to stop it, so what makes this new neighborhood watch group think they can make a difference, it is and always will be the containment area for all of kingston's low life trash. this way they can keep them all together in one area. only solution is to move out of that area and let the trash have that neighborhood. isn't that what city officials want anyway...........

Neighborhood watch makes a difference: right here you are writing to something that was established for Kingston by Neighborhood Watch... and then of course it goes on with the Freeman and yourselves.
At the outset, it serves to let people have a place to speak, others to know they are not alone. And then there are small busts, the information that the police can see (parking problems, sidewalk problems, and drugs, all the bad stuff)
Those offices cannot reply here. They may read the information, but they will not engage in public discussions. If you have something to say to the police, you can surely write it here but if you want a dialog with city offices, you must call, you must write, you must show up at their door.
That's the truth.

Let's focus SeeClickFix on working toward fixing problems - not complaining and getting people to not want to care! SeeClickFix has worked well, but it does not work when just used to complain. we all have to work together to fix problems.
