The City of Oakland Call Center has received this issue. It is registered as service request #764195. Please check back for status updates, or contact us directly at 510-615-5566.
Thank you for contacting the Oakland Call Center, but additional information will be needed before your service request can be processed. Are you requesting parking restrictions such as no parking signs, red curbs etc? This information will help us better process your request. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
No parking signs & red curbs, yes. It already has a size restriction on one side of the street but it's not enough - if cars are parked on both sides the road becomes a one-lane road and causes a ton of drama if two cars are trying to head in opposite directions. With the grocery store there it's a headache.
Alternately - and this probably is the better approach - convert it to a one-way street (heading East / uphill) from Fruitvale to Sunset. Sunset south of Lynde and E27th from Sunset to Fruitvale are already one-way streets.
