There are "No Turn On Red" signs/lights up at the Hudson Valley Plaza that come on when pedestrians push the button. That could prove handy here....as a start. It's just such a car-centered strip...dangerously so. I think we should keep taking more steps to make it a shared place.

At the very least there needs to be clear and permanent crosswalk marking. There should also be a "walk only" light displayed to stop traffic in both directions at once so pedestrians can cross safely.

I think police should start ticketing jay walkers. I've seen ignorant pedestrians walk against the crosswalk & traffic lights many times.

Jay walking causes traffic to unexpectedly halt or move out of travel lanes to avoid these idiot jay walkers.

Contrary to popular opinion, pedestrians who choose to ignore traffic signals DO NOT have the right of way.

The other thing is that when cars get the green at Oakwood headed west onto Hoosick, pedestrians also have the right of way. Cars don't look for pedestrians. Pedestrians have to catch the eye of drivers and hope they will be kind enough to let them cross.

The intersection of hoosick and 10th street (by stewarts) has most of its crosswalk worn away. It's been this way for a couple years. How can a guest close an issue that he/she didn't report and that hasnt been fixed yet?!

This is an incredibly busy intersection, Pedestrians need to know where to walk and drivers need to know where the designated crosswalk is. Otherwise, there will eventually be pedestrian/vehicle accidents. It is only a matter of time.
