Deskripsyon

The paving along the shoulder of Beach St. between First Avenue and the southern end of Washington Avenue is in poor shape, making it harzardous for bicyclists in particular. It forces them further out into the lane, where impatient, speeding drivers represent a clear safety risk.

I use this route often and agree.

The "harborside greenway" is a hugely popular bicycle route, and the city should really work to make it safer by fixing the road surface.

The city has still not plowed the sidewalk, thereby violating its own law requiring that sidewalks and walkways be cleared no more than 24 hours after the end of the snowstorm. Of course, this makes it easy, then, for the city not to enforce this law when residents and other property owners also fail to comply with this law. And when the city piles all the snow up at the crosswalks, who needs plowed sidewalks, anyway.
