The right lane is treacherous on northbound (eastbound?) High Street at the railroad crossing. The pavement between the tracks is very uneven, plus there is a large drop (at least 8") into a storm drain at the far side. This causes trucks and SUVs to encroach into the left lane to avoid it, making an already busy street even more dangerous. I'm sure the City would make the repairs, but maybe they could get the Union Pacific (or even Amtrak?) to pay for it.

- There are also 1,120 miles of linear sidewalk, which is the distance from Oakland to El Paso, TX, and 150 blocks of pedestrian pathways.
