Deskripsyon

Dead pines from 2011 tornado, waiting to fall onto sidewalk/King Charles Road. This stretch of mess next to sidewalk is full of poison ivy, and since there are lots of weeds and branches on ground from these dead trees, an ideal snake habitat, right next to sidewalk.

I will ask our Urban Forestry Division to take a look to see if this constitutes a potential hazard. If so they will contact the property owner.

The pine is on private property and about ten feet away from the power lines. Our Urban Forestry inspectors met with Progress Energy’s line clearance contractor and they have created a work order to remove the tree. They will not provide a timeline for the removal. For more information please contact Progress Energy.
