Ali Baba, the limo business is a bad neighbor. Streets Dept. and L&I should cite for blocking the sidewalk with large planters and for routinely parking one m or more vehicles in the driveway protruding completely across the sidewalk blocking pedestrians. In addition, there is an arbor across the sidewalk-is that legal? Photo taken last week.

I think they just don't care about the neighbors. The whole place is gaudy. It seems like things just don't get maintained once in place, same thing for their trees @ Coulter and Henry. Those gaitor bags have never been removed once they were put on the trees. That is very bad for the trees.

Councilman Jones, this is your turf and nothing has happened. Why doesn't Streets Dept do something about this? This situation canmot be legal. Please help.

Why does the City ignore this clear violation of the City Code? This is the Streets Dept's responsibility. They have had plenty of time to address this. Calls to 911 to ticket the vehicles on the sidewalk are ignored.

Pretty clear that there is something fishy going on here. No way can City not know about this. What is the going price for being allowed to block a public sidewalk? Would love to see a reply from the City-Streets or L&I?

Apparently the city doesn't care about cars blocking the sidewalk, it happens all the time at the houses on Calumet near the library. I said something to one of the owners once and his answer was basically tough cookies. The city cares about as much as they do with icy sidewalks.
