I usually don’t complain about stuff like this and thankfully I got to it before the recycle truck came, but It’s terrible to see this sort of thing. New machinery has made things much easier for people in this industry and we should be thankful for that…. However, we should also be paying closer attention to what we are doing with these machines and be mindful that if we knock over an adjacent trash can filled with recycling, we should take the minute or two to get out and pick it back up. I can’t speak for the gentleman who was driving on whether he was paying attention or not but if this sort of thing happens and my recycling is filled and knocked over. Hypothetically speaking, the other driver from Ryland recycling comes by and doesn’t pick up my can because he also won’t get out to pick up the trash and the can. What am I to do?? Wait another two weeks for the service? We just need to do better. Again, not complaining here but bringing attention to this sort of thing. Let’s try and be a bit more mindful and careful. This includes me, I will space the cans further apart as to do my part but lets to better.
