The sidewalk on Raynham Road that leads to the private road behind Kneeland Road has been disintegrating for a very long time now. Multiple reports have been listed, and nothing has been done. It has gotten even worse and now large pieces of concrete are completely loose. It isn’t safe for people walking, it is going to cause damage to the cars who use the private access road, can someone PLEASE fix this? The neighbors who live here paid a lot to fix our private road to reduce wear and tear to our vehicles, only to still have to deal with this part of the sidewalk. The company who paved wouldn’t touch it as it is owned by the city, so can the city please fix this finally? It’s been well over a year now that I know neighbors have reported this and nothing has been done to remedy it. What else do we need to do for this to be addressed, finally?

I am one of the many neighbors who reported on this last year, and we were assured that it would be fixed last spring, and then this fall, and still nothing. This photo only shows a tiny portion of the deteriorated sidewalk - it is actually way worse, even, than the photo shows. Our cars cannot get in and out of our road now without risking damage to our vehicles, and it’s certainly not safe to walk on. We will probably be told that no roadworks can be done because of winter weather (?), but this has become totally unacceptable. Last summer other patches of road and sidewalk were fixed in our neighborhood that were not nearly as bad as this, and we can’t understand how they were prioritized over something so obviously and drastically in need of repair. Thank you.

When the city is faced with a lawsuit from someone who falls and is injured on this badly deteriorated CITY OWNED sidewalk, MAYBE someone in the administration will wake up ! I seem to remember that our Alder assured us that this was going to be corrected...last spring, as Katherine has stated..so..where is Sal DeCola ??? are promises null and void after elections ?
