Corona PD and City of Corona Traffic Engineering Griffin Way and Bristol Way are out of control! Approximately 19:25 my dog and I were almost hit while crossing in the crosswalk. First while crossing Griffin Way towards the park and then again when I crossed to go home.
Driver's are NOT STOPPING and SPEEDING.
Is it really going to take a death of someone before you do anything? Over the years I have complained ad nauseam and not much has been done about this problem which continues to get worse even though this intersection is "On rotation".
Recently my neighbor Hugo told me he was nearly run down with his dog while trying to cross the street. And there are other neighbors who've also nearly been run down. I've seen other complaints about this.
People are NOT STOPPING. People ARE SPEEDING.
Do something to stop it besides the rare occasion of a motor for a short time.

The Engineering dept, I think, was supposed to put up one of those signs that posts the speed limit and shows what their speed is. I have not seen one. Has anyone else?

No driver feed back signs have been placed. I remember when you spoke with (I believe) Christina at the traffic bureau months back.
The city needs to put at least 4 radar speed signs along Griffin Way and leave them up.
What Griffin Way really needs is traffic signals. The speeding and running stop signs along Griffin Way is a chronic problem and Corona Motor Officers need to be out here a lot more often as well as before sunrise, after sunset, and the weekends! And radar and write for speeding too.

They used to have speed meter but few years back they removed. We found about 20% of people didn’t even touch the brakes for the stop sign. This is very dangerous for everyone city should do something for safety

I'm walking my dog right now and car, after car, after car, after car is just blowing through the stop sign. A few are rolling across, and hardly any are sort of stopping. The time stamp is 05:30 - 06:03

Thank you for reaching out to Corona Traffic Engineering Department. Currently there is a work order in place to install numeral legends on Griffin Way to bring awareness to motorists of the 30 MPH speed limit. Staff will evaluate the area and install additional signage if warranted. Furthermore, when available, Speed Feedback Signs will be installed to remind motorists of the speed limit on Griffin Way.

I was told about 3 months ago that the signs that the city has were being used but we would be next when the signs were available. When will that happen?

Thank you for forwarding this issue to the traffic bureau. I certainly hope aggressive measures are taken to calm traffic and make it safer for residents to walk and drive in their neighborhood.
I also hope Griffin Way and Bristol Way get the same love that Green River Road / Palisades Drive and Green River Road / Nicholas Place get.
