GFL has once again failed to pick up our trash as scheduled. They also will not disclose management contact information to have it resolved. Since this contract is awarded as a monopolistic contract for the City of Newnan and residents like us at 230 The Boulevard, we humbly ask that you contact GFL management and explain the importance and implication of their not picking up residential trash as I am very sure the contract they were awarded does state. As for contacting their office directly, their representatives claim ignorance in terms of a solution, offer to credit the monthly payment or promise to have the trash truck return to pick up the trash. However, the offer to have the truck return does not happen even with their promise. I actually just observed their trash vehicle leaving the Avery Park subdivision most likely having finished their pick up runs in our subdivision, in fact, but still passing our home, nonetheless. This morning, I was told by my wife that there was a flatbed truck full of sod parked near our trash point on Patriot Lane but that the flatbed was not blocking the trash point and that the GFL truck apparently didn't want to re-route around it to pick up the trash, for some reason, but definitely not because the flatbed's position on Patriot Lane was blocking access.

This may seem petty in terms of importance but we have a contracted right to have this service fulfilled for us and this lack of legal consideration should be addressed by the City. Since we are not given the opportunity to select our own trash service, it is the responsibility of the City to deal with these matters........small and large.

Please reply with a advisory recommendation and information on steps taken by the City to resolve and prevent such a matter from continuing to happen.
