Deskripsyon

There is excessive speeding on Lyon St and often going in the wrong direction, it is a one way street. Lyon St is a heavily used pedestrian street by children and elderly citizens. Enhanced signage in addition to what exists (One-Way + Local Traffic Only) is needed and perhaps even speed humps.

I agree--driving the wrong direction on Lyon Street is a chronic problem, and speeding makes it even more dangerous. Several years ago I suggested painting arrows on the street turning people down Jefferson, but neither this or other suggestions have been taken. I fear someone will be hurt or killed. Please implement safety measures like speed bumps, signage, painting, etc. Enforcement would help too, as some people are aware they are driving the wrong way but find it more convenient to do so.

This is a stupid intersection, why does Lyon St meet in opposing intersections anyway? Why not create a pedestrian bumpout where Lyon & Jefferson intersect with a raised crosswalk and a stop sign? It would minimize vehicles speeding across or around the corner, make it safer for pedestrians to cross, and eliminate the awkward parallel parking.
