Very, very sad, Pedro. I KNEW something was different headed south on 91.... ugh.

I noticed a hawk that was apparently displaced by this work, flying around the neighborhood after the trees were cut.
Does anybody know what this thing is going to look like when it is finished? We need to have better noise barriers and those embankments need to be re-planted when they are done.
When will it be finished? My whole house shakes at night when they are working over there.

The DOT has agreed in principle to install a sound barrier on the west side of 91 which should help with the noise and some of the particulate matter pollution

Issues surrounding the Q Bridge construction will be discussed at tomorrow night's (5/15) Downtown Wooster Square Community Management Team meeting at 6 pm at City Hall. I hope this and other issues like it can be raised with representatives from the City and with CT DOT, who will be present.

Deputy Economic Development Administrator City of New Haven will discuss the construction of I-95 and how it will impact Wooster Square over the next year or so.

Please read the following message from Michael Piscitelli, Deputy Economic Development Administrator City of New Haven:

We are confirmed for May 15, Downtown/Wooster Sq. management team at 6:00. DOT will be sending a representative or two to go over the forecast construction work on the Q-Bridge project which as you know ties into I-91. This includes some remaining Amtrak tree clearing on the right-of-way. My understanding from LCI is that it is not extensive but needs to be shared with you the team as it is night-work which can be loud and unsettling without advance notice. Linda Davis will be the city's point of contact 203-946-7888, but I will stop by as well. We can touch on other updates re: Downtown Crossing, the new parking meter times to fill the agenda if you need anything.

I hope to see new faces at our next meeting. The meetings last one hour. Cheese and crackers will be served.
