Animal IssuesKinilala19 Russell Avenue Gloucester, Massachusetts, 01930 - GloucesterCan the city please do something to address the growing geese issue at the Babson Reservoir. I would think that this being a public water supply that the issue of geese continuously releasing their rather large feces droppings all throughout this location would pose a potential health risk. I believe the city should research this issue to see if these geese are indeed creating a health issue to our community and its vital water supply or at the very least move these geese on from this location as well as other public spaces throughout the city such as all around the O’Maley School / Dr. Osman Rd. recreational ballfields and track. These are the locations where I walk my dog, as well as do other pet owners and these areas within the ballfields as well as around the perimeter are layered and covered with geese feces. Unfortunately, I have a dog which I can bring to the Gloucester Dogpark due to her not taking to other dogs there. I have attempted to walk my dog up at Stage Fort Park, however there are too many dog owners who do not abide by the city’s leash ordinance. I have notified both Gloucester Animal Control as well as the Gloucester Police only to not have any response nor action taken. Please help to address all these issues on all levels! Thank You for your anticipated cooperation with this matter.

Animal IssuesKinilala13 Strawberry Cove Gloucester, Massachusetts, 01930 - GloucesterWe have 2 young coyotes hanging around our property (one pictured here sunning itself on our neighbor's pool-cover). We have a small dog (as do some of our neighbors) so we are concerned. Also we think one of the coyotes may be suffering from mange, and so may need treatment.

The head of Walkers Creek and the drainage from the associated pond has been blocked by a beaver dam that is partially on my property at 7 Forest Ln, Gloucester. This beaver activity has been ongoing since fall of 2022. The beaver dam causes the level in the pond behind the dam to rise and overflow its banks jeopardizing the foundation of my house. Continually dismantling the beaver dam over the course of the past 12 months to keep the level of the pond under control and prevent flooding has been a hardship for me (I am 74 retired) and has not encouraged these animals from moving on.
I request assistance from the City:
1. Permission to have the beavers trapped or killed
2. Referral to a wildlife specialist
3. Other ? -

BeachesKinilala18–50 Hough Ave Gloucester MA 01930, United States - GloucesterThis picnic table needs to be moved before the Summer as it presents an attractive nuisance and is therefore a safety issue. Another big storm could see it slipping awa.
The erosion at Stage Fort Park is gob smacking; trees have new "air" roots and will likely topple over soon; there is debris all over the field. There is a fifteen foot gap between rip rap and field; What is the plan for dealing with all this? e -
15 Cononicus Rd Gloucester, Massachusetts - GloucesterHaving the parking lot at Wingaersheek locked on weekend in April weekends is causing problems . The small lot fills up and cars park all over the road leading to the parking lot. The road becomes one lane and people with small children, handicapped people and people with pets try toe navigate the space while cars try to find parking. This is unfair to beach goers and the people who live along the road, The lot should open April1 as it did until last year.
